ABOUT BODEGAS EIDOSELA

Located about 30 miles inland from the coast, along the north bank of the Miño River in the region of Arbo, just a couple of miles from the border with Portugal. Bodegas Eidosela was founded in 2003 by a group of local farmers with a total of 45 hectares (111 Acres) of vineyards that they harvest manually using 40 lb boxes to ensure the grapes arrive to the winery in perfect condition. Bodegas Eidosela is located in the Condado do Tea subregion of Rias Baixas, a warmer area known to produce more exhuberant, tropical and dense Albariños than those found by the ocean in Salnés, yet maintaining extraordinary minerality and freshness thanks to its unique granite and slate soils.

ABOUT RIAS BIAXAS

Rias Baixas' coastline is comprised of inlets reminiscent of Norway’s fjords and boasts some of Spain’s most stunning beaches and an endless supply of fresh seafood. Rías Baixas is also the birthplace of Albariño, Spain’s best known white variety. In Rías Baixas, this grape shares the same nutrient-poor but mineral-rich soils and moderate climate as other renowned white wine producing regions.  Most of the D.O. Rias Baixas appellation wines come from the area of Salnés right on the Atlantic coastline, but the zones of Condado and Rosal have a much longer history of grape growing and winemaking.  The two other subregions of Soutomaior and Ribera de Ulla were added to the Rias Baixas D.O. in 1996 and 2000 respectively.
